The Spark Series Disc Climber is a composite climber that uses both plastic and metal components to create a climber that is elegant, compact, and fun for kids to use. It has four circular disc steps which branch out from a vertical post. Each of them is wide enough for a child to easily step on top of with at least one foot at a time, and they can hold onto the center post to maintain their balance as they climb. The spiraling shape of the steps, which wind around the outside of the post, cause kids to swing around the central point as they climb. However, there are no steps on the side of the post which faces the deck, which allows kids to slide part of the way down it like a fireman pole. Since it doesn’t extend away from the play structure, this climber is useful when trying to manage your structure’s use zone.
